2012 The JYP & Alpha Singapore Audition
Following an audition last year in December, Alpha Entertainment is holding another audition, this time together with JYP Entertainment in January 2012. For the budding artistes out there, here’s what you should take note of.
2012 The JYP & Alpha Singapore Audition
Date: 14 and 15 January 2012
Time: 8.30am
Venue: MDIS Queenstown Campus auditorium
Nearest MRT station: Queenstown MRT station (nearest) or Commonwealth MRT station.
Audition categories
1. Vocal
2. Dance
3. Acting
4. MC
5. VJ
6. Model
Qualifications
1. Anyone, regardless of nationality and gender may apply.
2. Those born between the years 1985 to 2001.
3. Those below 18 years of age please obtain parental consent (and bring along signed completed audition form on the audition day itself).
How to apply
1. Go to http://audition.jype.com/singapore/
2. Fill in your FULL name (as in NRIC/passport) and VALID email address. Please note that the audition verification code will be sent to this email immediately.
3. Input the audition code. Please check the email that you have applied with as stated above. You should find it in the inbox folder, if not, please check your spam/junk mail folder. The audition code should begin with ‘JYPExxxxxxxxx’.
4. Fill up and complete the application form ACCURATELY.
5. Print the completed application form (which will be sent to your email that you have applied with) and bring it along on the audition day itself.
Please note
1. For those below 18 years of age, parental consent is COMPULSORY. Please obtain permission from your parents and bring along the completed form on the audition day itself.
2. Please print and bring along TWO copies of the completed application form on the audition day itself.
3. Please prepare a passport size photo of yourself and bring it along on the audition day itself. You will be required to paste it on the completed audition form. The photo can be black/white or coloured. DO NOT upload the photo onto the form on the internet.
4. You will be informed on which audition dates (14 or 15 January) you are assigned to closer to the audition. Please be patient in waiting for further instructions.
5. On the spot registration is allowed on the audition days themselves from 10am to 5pm. HOWEVER, this is subjected to time and priority will be given to those who have already registered online earlier.
6. Only applicants (selected finalists) who have passed the audition will be notified.
7. Selected finalists will have the chance to be trained under the JYPE training program.
8. JYPE reserves the right to film and keep footages of the audition.
VERY IMPORTANT
1. Please dress appropriately and neatly—no shorts, slippers or T-shirts. Inappropriate attire may be refused entry.
2. For those auditioning in Vocal, you are required to sing (the first verse of the song of your choice) LIVE WITHOUT MUSIC. Please memorise the lyrics and holding of any cue cards/paper in front of you is disallowed.
3. For those auditioning in Dance, please bring along your CD/MP3 and check to make sure that it works. Bring a backup if necessary. Please keep your dance WITHIN 1 MINUTE.
4. For those auditioning in Acting/MC/VJ, you will be required to put up 1 MINUTE of either impromptu or memorised acting or freestyle performance.
5. For those auditioning in Model, you will be auditioned in posing and cat walk.
