First KPOPGAGA ShowKase, featuring Twi-Light and Freestar, a Success!
The first KPOPGAGA ShowKase took place last night at St James Powerhouse, where fans filled the venue just to see the two featuring groups, Twi-Light and Freestar.
Twi-Light took to stage first with the title song from their second mini-album, "Twilight", sending fans into a frenzy. They then stopped for a short interview before performing "Without You", their debut song.
During the interview, the Twi-Light boys (missing rapper TN) introduced themselves to the fans and explained the meaning behind their group name. It has nothing to do with the hit blockbuster but instead stands for "Trend World Idol" and "light", meaning idols that will shine in the world. When asked what they think of Singapore fans, Min Yong answered that "the fans are kind and nice" and Black, maknae of the group, tickled the hearts of fangirls with a simple "I love you!" They also named legendary group Shinhwa as their role model.

They then continued with their performance set, breaking into the upbeat tune of "Love is Difficult", a song they sang for the drama "Rooftop Prince".
They ended with a forth song after a request (filled with Min Yong's aegyo) for the fans' loud cheers, as "it is a remake of their senior's song and is difficult to sing." They then left the stage after waving goodbye to the fans and passed the baton to Freestar.
The 4-membered girl group made a mysterious entrance, donning masks (that they later threw out to the fans) as they performed a dance. They then proceeded to perform a set of four songs, including their debut single "DISS" and their latest release "Stronger and Bester". The girls interacted non-stop with the fans, reaching forward for handshakes and always smiling brightly at them.
During their interview segment, they showcased their individual talents before introducing themselves (vocals: Erum and Niu, rap: CEO and dance: Seul-A). Like Twi-Light, they explained the meaning behind their group name. Their CEO was walking on the streets one day and say a signboard that said "Freestar", and that's how they got their name! The girls then got the fans involved in the performances, getting them to cheer "Let's go!" together before singing their last song.
With both groups done with their performances, the host entered to inform to fans of a good news: there would be a lucky draw and 9 lucky winners will receive prizes in the form of little gifts from Twi-Light and Freestar themselves. Of course, the fans are not satisfied and began chanting "Encore! Encore!"
As the fans have wished, the night has yet to end and Twi-Light once again goes on stage in all-white outfits. Fans cheered loudly and sang along as they performed a set of dance covers, including Beast's "On Rainy Days" and "Shock" and Infinite's "Before The Dawn". The atmosphere got hotter as Freestar appeared as well to perform their own set of covers, f(x)'s "Hot Summer", "G.Na's "2Hot" and Secret's "Love Is Move".
However, it seems that fans still haven't gotten enough of them! They began another round of "Encore! Encore!" chanting. The host then teased them, first saying that "it's time to go home, you know?" before dropping a second surprise on them, a stage collaboration between Twi-Light and Freestar!
Twi-Light's Tae Sung and Freestar's Erum started the song with Min Yong on the keyboard. The rest of their group members slowly appeared on stage in pairs as they serenaded both each other and the fans. The night reach another climax as balloons cascaded from above and onto the fans, making the atmosphere sweeter than it already was. Fans then held onto balloons and waved to the fading melodies of the song, ending the night on a happy note.
