With a production cost of $2 million and more than 250 crew hired for the production, it is no exception that Super Show 4 was indeed, a superb concert. More than 11,000 adoring fans gathered at Singapore Indoor Stadium for Super Junior’s sold out concert over a span of 2 days.

Super Junior opened the concert with ‘Superman’ and performed a total of 36 songs, which includes their hit songs such as ‘Mr Simple’, ‘Sorry Sorry’ and ‘Bonamana’. The boys also made full use of the stage setup to make sure that even the fans who were seated up in the gallery could catch a glimpse of them.

Asides from group performances, the members of Super Junior also had independent stages which allowed them to showcase their individual personality and charms. Some of the more memorable highlights of the solo stages was Henry, who showcased his multiple musical talents by playing the piano, guitar and violin while singing to his own rendition of Bruno Mar’s The Lazy Song and Lighters. Leader Leetuk played the piano before singing to ‘She’ while giving out roses to the crowd before randomly selecting one very lucky final fan by serenading her and giving her a hug. Shindong brought much laughter to everyone by performing a parody of HyunA’s ‘Bubble Pop’ and ‘Trouble Maker’. Member Yesung melted fans’ heart by performing a emotional and heartfelt rendition of ‘One Man’. Donghae and Eunhyuk turned the stadium into a disco with their performance of  ‘Oppa Oppa’.

Fans who attended the concert were also greeted with a surprise when fellow label mates, Sulli and Amber of f(x) made a guest appearance and performed ‘Oops’ with their seniors.

The members of Super Juniors were also treated to different fan events planned by their dedicated fans. During Siwon’s, Yesung’s and Sungmin’s solo stages, fans held up placard (respectively) to show their love and support to their favourite idols. And when the boys performed ‘Our Love’, ELFs held up their heart-shaped placard which read “SuJu + ELFs = Forever”, which brought Leetuk and Shindong to tears. The white-light event also caught the hearts of the members and they even said that it really looked like stars in the sky.

Super Junior expressed their utmost gratitude to their fans’ unwavering support and love at the end of the concert. Donghae even wittingly joked with everyone saying that he has locked all the doors at the venue so no one can leave and all the fans will have to spend the night with them.

Well, we are definitely sure that ELFs would not mind spending the night with their favourite idols. All the fans who were present at Super Show 4, would agree that the boys put up an amazing concert and it will definitely be memory that will be etched to their hearts for a long time. We hope that Super Junior would return to Singapore soon and we wish them all the best as they continue to embark on their world tour.

As part of their Super Show World Tour, the boys of Super Junior are back for their Singapore leg of the tour.  Held over two days, Super Junior met with the media after a successful concert on the first day.

Q: Some of us here have yet to see your show, I heard it was amazing last night. But some of us did see Super Show 3 so what is the biggest difference between this show, Super Show 4, and what you have done before? 

Leeteuk: The biggest difference with this show is that they have a lot of movable stages which makes the whole concert dynamic and dramatic and the whole show will definitely be visually appealing to everyone.

Q: You've been here a few times so did you do anything different this time round?

Leeteuk: Every time we visit Singapore, we feel that it is such a beautiful country with lots of things to see so we would always like to come here not for a show, but as a trip to Singapore. This time we had loads of Chilli Crab, which is one of our favourite Singaporean dish, and we really loved it. We want to bring Chilli Crab back to Korea and launch it there as well. 

Q: If each of you could choose to be another Super Junior member, who would it be and why?

Shindong: I would like to be Ryeowook. He has a very clear voice when he sings, which is something I envy. He has also been working out pretty much so he has nice abs, which I'm jealous of. 

Ryeowook: But I want to be Shindong because he has a big appetite and I can eat as much as I want if I become him. I also feel that Shindong is very handsome.

Sungmin: I want to be Kyuhyun because he has a wonderful voice and he is also the maknae so I feel that he has an advantage just by being the youngest. 

Q: While you were performing "Good Friends", all of you played a different character like Siwon as Superman, Eunhyuk as a white bird. Why were you in these characters and is there any significance behind it?

Leeteuk: Shindong was Britney Spears.

Shindong: I have a lot of similarities like being sexy.

Leeteuk: Sungmin was Marilyn Monroe.

Sungmin: The recommendation came from Leeteuk and the response was huge so I'm happy with that. 

Donghae: I was dressed up as Charlie Chaplin and it was suggested by all the members. 

Kyuhyun: I was dressed as Steve Jobs, who is someone I really respect and I love the brand as well. There was a scene where I was eating an apple and through that, I wanted to promote the brand indirectly and the response was huge as well.

Leeteuk: When he dressed up as Steve Jobs, the fans nicknamed him as Steve Jobs Kyu. 

Q: Most of you showcased a new talent or new side during your solo stages like Eunhyuk composed while Leeteuk and Kyuhyun showed off your musical flair. Amongst yourselves, which solo stage do you like most or whose solo stage had the most powerful impact?

Shindong: Donghae and Eunhyuk performed "Oppa Oppa" and it has the best response so far. 오빠 (oppa) means big brother which a female calls an older male so the Korean males are always happy when they hear 오빠. We feel very happy and pleasant when we hear it.

Q: What is your most memorable moment from last night’s concert?

Leeteuk: When we performed "Our Love", the fans lighted white light sticks for us and we were really touched by their support.

Q: Super Show 4 went to Taiwan previously and the fans did something that got you guys crying so how do you guys feel at the moment and are you guys expecting something similar from Singapore as well? 

Leeteuk: Regardless of any country that we are performing in, we are always touched and feel the love from the fans' support and it doesn't change wherever we go. This time in Singapore, since it’s the last day of the concert, we may shed some tears but we are not very sure about that but we are just happy to be here with the fans.

Q: You guys had your 5th album last year so which of your hit songs is your favourite, since you debuted? 

Eunhyuk: Many people likes "Sorry Sorry", which is one of our biggest hit song, but my personal favourite is "Superman".  The lyrics demonstrate us and how we feel in general and we always strive to be the best.

Q: Do you have anything to say to the ELFs in Singapore, especially since Leeteuk will be entering army soon?

Leeteuk: Despite the fact that we don't come to Singapore as often as we wish too, but we are grateful for the fans' support. Even though I'm going to be enrolled into the army, it is not the end because the rest of the members will continue and I will join them as soon as I'm out of the army. We will definitely come back for another awesome show and please look out for that.

Q: You are doing a World tour this time, instead of an Asia tour. What do you think is the biggest difference and what do you look most forward to?

Leeteuk: The biggest difference is the scale of the region we visit so this time, not just Asia, but we are visiting South America, USA, Europe and a lot of other regions to see our fans. 

Q: How do you intend to make 2012 a special and memorable year?

Leeteuk: We are going to make it memorable firstly by successfully finishing our World tour and we have a long series of schedule lined up for us and the fans so please look out for them and continue to give us support. 

Q: What is your personal or group wish for the year?

Leetuk: As a group, we always wish to be the star that will always give hope and happiness, being a happy virus, to the fans and those who listen to our songs, and we will always strive to achieve that.

Mnet announced and had the red carpet event of ‘The Voice of Korea’ on Feb 7. ‘The Voice of Korea’ is a Korean adaptation of the multinational musical survival program ‘The Voice’. Gil (from LeeSsang), Kangta (from H.O.T), Baek Ji Young, and Shin Seung Hoon will be the coaches and will mentor/develop auditionees during its first season. A number of celebrities including Block B, Busker Busker, Mun Jun Young from ZE:A attended the red carpet event. The show will have its first premiere on Feb 10.

After years of waiting, local Primadonnas here finally got a chance to see their favourite rock band, F.T. Island in Singapore. For the very first time, F.T. Island held a full-fledged rock concert “Play! F.T. Island in Singapore” on 15th January Saturday.

Crossing the causeway after a successful concert in Malaysia, the five members of F.T. Island, Hongki, Jaejin, Minhwan, Jonghoon and Seunghyun arrived in Singapore all ready to ‘play’ with their fans at the Max Pavilion. Though it was a concert held in Singapore, it was evident that fans came from around the world where some Korean and Japanese Primadonnas were even spotted amongst the crowd.

Dressed in modest black tops and bottoms, the quintet opened the night with the song ‘I Hope’ followed by ‘Bing Bing Bing’ much to the delight of the crowd. Everyone on and off stage, well, minus resident drummer, Minhwan of course, was jumping and moving to the upbeat music.

In their best effort to communicate with the fans, the members spoke in English throughout the concert. Though the sentences were not perfectly phrased, their efforts were applaudable and their sincerity was definitely felt. However, it was also quite obvious that Hongki was dying to speak in Korean. There was even this short moment where Hongki announced that he was going to speak in Korean from now on but was met with immediate objection from Jaejin who insisted that Hongki continue to speak in English.

Before performing ‘Cool vs Pretty’, Hongki asked the fans if they knew how to say ‘pretty’ in Korean to which they screamed with much gusto ‘yeppeo’. With that, Hongki told the fans to scream ‘yeppeo’ whenever he cued during the song.

In the middle of the concert, while the members went backstage for a change of clothes, a short video was shown on the big screen. It featured the daily lives of the members and what they like to do in their free time. Jonghoon said that he enjoyed photography and felt that he himself was his best model jokingly. Hongki on the hand mentioned that he uses Twitter a lot because it allows him to communicate with the whole world. Minhwan showed to the fans how he trains for his 6 packs in the video while Jaejin shared that his fashion style is known as ‘Confident Jaejin’. Seunghyun said that he enjoys learning English.

It was notable that during the acoustic session, Minhwan traded his drumsticks for a microphone where all five members sat together to perform ‘Sunshine Girl’ and ‘I Confess’. This was definitely some refreshing arrangement.

Many other songs were performed in the two hour long concert and these included ‘Hello Hello’, ‘I’m going to have you’, ‘Love Love Love’, ‘Life’, ‘Even You Tears’, ‘Bad Woman’, ‘That Person, Shinsadong’, ‘I’ll Love Everything’, ‘Don Quixote’s Song’, ‘Troublemaker’, ‘Primadonna’, ‘Love Sick’, ‘Until You Return’, ‘Like a bird’ and a Japanese trio ‘Flower Rock’, ‘I Want’ and ‘Let It Go’.
